For STORY OF SEASONS: Pioneers of Olive Town players, this guide provides a list of every item required for 100% Museum collection, as well as tips on how to earn each item.
Introduction
This guide is meant to help you complete your Museum, and to help guide you in the right direction to complete it.
By completing the museum, you earn two achievements:
The museum requires you to donate a total of 50 fish, 21 animal photos and 30 treasures.
Things to think about
- Once an item is placed in the museum, you cannot move it
- The “Cow Helm” treasure is only given at random from a lv10 Journey Sprite, talk to him every odd day.
- Some of the donatable items/photos are seasonal, so be sure to check when they are obtainable
Fishing collection!
There is a total of 50 fish in the game. 43 regular, + 7 guardian fish. I won’t be going into too many details on how and where to all the regular fish, but I recommend utilizing external sources, fishing at different times of the day in each ocean, river etc, as well as fishermans island. Guardian bait is recommended for the guardian fish.
One of each fish is required to donate to the museum. Star quality does not matter at all. You can at any time check which fish you have donated by visiting the bottom floor of the museum, however I recommend keeping tabs on it in a google sheet.
I am aware that the exact times might not be 100%, but they are estimates of when you can find them. I often found them after the times as well, at a much more seldom rate sometimes.
Ocean 1 means the ocean accessible from the first part of the farm, ocean 2 and 3 signals the second and third unlockable part.
You should use Guardian Bait – I always got the guardian fish first try with the bait.
- Giant Catfish – Found in the river in Fishermans Island between ~7-11AM
- Spotted Eagle Ray – Found in ocean 3 between ~2-4PM
- Halibut – Found in ancient lake between ~9-11PM
- Giant Grouper – Found in ocean 1 between 9-11AM
- Marlin – Found in ocean 2 between 12-2PM
- Big Squid – Found in the ocean at Fishermans island at any time
- Giant Crab – Found in any small lake in the mines in area 3 at any time
Most of these are super easy to come by. Check all the different oceans, rivers in the specific season islands, fishermans island etc. Try to fish at various times of the day. I googling

Treasure collection!
There is a total of 30 treasures in the game. Most of these are obtained from either timeworn, heavy or shining objects. You can enter the museum, and talk to Reina to get an appraisal of the items. Four of these are from fishing in various lakes. I tried using various guides to find out what items belonged in which object, but I only found conflicting information, so I just recommend appraising every single object you receive for best possible luck in earning the item you need for your museum.
You get objects from draining the small ponds across the second and third part of your farm, as well as draining both the lakes in those parts. You also gain access to a special Sprite location after you drain Lake 3. When you talk to the Sprite, you will get a prompt to visit Ancient Lake.
From experience, you will get timeworn and heavy objects from every single pond and lake, while the ancient lake is the only place that drops shining object.
There is however one very important treasure that takes a long time. The Cow Helm. I recommend working on this one as soon as you unlock the Earth Sprite Village. The Journey Sprite will visit every odd day, and you want to talk to him (and receive his items) every other day until he is at level 10. Once he hits level 10, there’s a random change that he will give you the Cow Helm, which is a required entry into the museum. Personally I used several hours only sleeping/talking to the Journey Sprite, as I didn’t start interacting with him early enough.
