Roman’s Christmas: 100% Achievements Guide

Welcome to Roman’s Chritmas, a visual novel about spending your holiday with a small group of people and trying to solve cases that emerge. This guide will assist you in earning every achievement in the game, and will list the correct answers and choices for trials.

• Remember that If you need help or get stuck during the story, try talking to everyone. Sometimes people are in their rooms and won’t come out, but you can talk to them in front of their doors.
• During investigations Roman will often reveal where you might have missed clues when you attempt to examine a victim.

There is one achievement that spans the entire game:

Sherlock
Don’t make any mistake during the trials.
It’s okay to save before each question and load the game if you mess up. Easy!

There are two achievements which act like collectables. You don’t need to get all of them in a single run, but you do need to see all of them at least once. These pop up whenever you collect the final one. Beware that there is no indication of which you have or have not seen, and there are points in the story where you have to choose which of these two you wish to perform over the other:

Newspeak
Read the entire book.

You need to read ‘The Brief History of Apollion’ whenever it pops up as an option. You also need to go into Roman’s room at the beginning of a chapter, select to explore your room and choose the option to read it. A new entry is available almost every chapter. There are times when you lose access to your room, simply ignore this task until you gain entry again.

Dreamer
Dream every dream.

Much like the one before, you need to select the option to sleep whenever it is available, and go to Roman’s room at the beginning of a chapter, select to explore it and take a nap. Some dreams seem to be random. Each time you select to sleep, there’s a small chance you won’t see a dream. This is fine in your room since you can take as many naps as you want until a dream is triggered, but during story sections your only option is to save before selecting the option to sleep and load your save until you get a dream.

Before getting the next achievement, you might want to read the first chapter’s first paragraph. Some very specific things need to be done in order for an easily missed event to happen, and you can either go for that now or speak to Elegant instead. You can’t do both unless you resort to saving and loading.

In order to get a missable event, during the prologue:

• Do not take a nap
• Listen to Anzox’s music
• Listen to stories
• Do not make any mistakes during the trial

When given the choice in the first chapter, go downstairs and have a look.
You’re given two choices, both of them earn you an achievement, but you can only pick one of them:

Go into the kitchen and ask Tsarzn for a drink, and repeat this until you pass out.

Next up is a minigame involving cards. Either pick incorrectly twice, or save and reload until you get both guesses right. You can save between the first and second choice to make the latter easier. Be sure to remember pattern of the cards, you will need it later and they’re different every time.

I recommend you read on, as there is an achievement near the end of the chapter that requires Roman’s method and a few extra choices to unlock.

Unlike other early endings, you’re awarded the Sherlock achievement if you managed to perform flawlessly during the game. From now on you’re free to make as many mistakes as you please!

Because of this, I recommend that you load your save and go on with the investigation until the credits roll. There aren’t any achievements you really need to worry about.
