A lever needs to be turned in order to lift the gate. To find the lever, drop down from near the right exit.

Before you completely drop down after acquiring extra life 4, visit the area on the left.
MAX HEALTH UPGRADE 1
Jump up the platforms on the left.
EXTRA LIFE 5
Behind a breakable wall.
A lever needs to be turned in order to lift the gate. To find the lever, drop down from near the right exit.

Before you completely drop down after acquiring extra life 4, visit the area on the left.

Break the wall and go right, the solution is indicated by a riddle found earlier in the level.
