How to Start the Car
The car is assembled, but starting a cold, untuned Finnish classic is a mini-game in itself. Here are two verified methods:
Method 1: Using the Choke
- Ensure the outside temperature is above -13°C.
- Pull the choke out (using the mouse).
- Hold down the starter (left-click continuously) and keep cranking.
- When the dashboard lights dim/die, do not release the starter. While still holding left-click, move your cursor to the choke and push it in with a right-click.
- The engine should start. Immediately drive to Fleetari’s repair shop to get a proper tune-up and fix any minor issues.
Method 2: Without the Choke (Credits: Pisos22822)
- Ensure the carburetor is attached (it is in this save).
- Do not use the choke. The temperature must be above -13°C.
- Start cranking the engine. It might start on the first battery, or it might drain several.
- Stock up on batteries from the gas station. Keep cranking until the dashboard completely dies. The starter will still turn, but the engine won’t fire.
- Once the dashboard is dead, replace the battery and try again.
- Once started, drive directly to Fleetari for a new starter and, highly recommended, leave the car with him for a full carburetor tuning.
