If you are a new player of Monster Blast and looking for a beginner’s guide to get a quick start, this is exactly what you are looking for, let’s check it out.
Basic Gameplay
Monster Blast is a top down shooter, with progressively more difficult levels and a variety of ways to get through them. Each ‘map’ has several rooms you’ll need to clear, eventually finding the exit and moving onto the next map.
As you kill monsters, you will receive purple gems. Once you have received enough of these, a random upgraded gun will drop into the map. The progress for this can be found on the bottom of the screen. The guns themselves drop randomly, and can be any of the following:
Shotgun, Machine Gun, Rocket Launcher, Sniper* (there may be others)
*Not sure if Sniper is the right word but it one shot’s pretty much any monster besides boss
After clearing a map, you will be taken to the world view and gain experience based on your monster killing abilities. When you gain enough experience, you will level up and be able to choose between leveling up either:
Life: Gain more hitpoints
Power: Deal more damage (upgrades your gun)
Luck: Better chance at good items in chests
Continue along these steps of killing, leveling, beating bosses, and you’ll be a super blaster in no time!
How to do the thing
Although an amazing game, one key flaw that cannot be missed is the controls. This game was made on the idea that you play with a controller, and provides the relevant key bindings. The issue with this is that steam is a PC orientated platform and not many players will have a controller to connect (or will prefer not to) so I’ve managed to find all the relevant keys for you KBM players.
Please also note these cannot be rebinded through Monster Blast directly.
Shoot – LMB
Change Gun – RMB
Move – WSAD
Switch Item – Left Arrow/Right Arrow
Use Item – Space
That’s all we are sharing today in Monster Blast Basic Guide For Beginners (Gameplay, Controls, Leveling), if there are anything you want to add please feel free to leave a comment below and we’ll see you soon.
