Mad Tracks: Beginners’ Guide

Mad Tracks is simple fun! You will play with toy cars in everyday environments like a restaurant, a mini golf, a toy store and much more.
These toy cars are equipped with spring engines that need some reloading. You will have to manage your engine stored power to complete certain challenges. When you accelerate, stored power goes down. When you release the accelerator, power goes up again.
Now don’t you worry, we kept it simple. Your main task is still to drive around and have fun with the 12 pick ups and power ups.
Mad Tracks is not a plain racing game. Some of the game is racing (all types of races), the other part is made of mini games like mini golf, foosball or pool table.
You will battle on 45 different challenges in unique environments. Up to you to be the best (or just have fun).

This will give you main objectives, potential restrictions and funky twists. If you can’t read, there is usually a couple of pictures that are often self explanatory.

We kept the system easy.
Your car is equipped with a spring engine. When you accelerate, the spring goes down. When you release the acceleration button, the spring goes back up. When your spring is completely flat, your car will still go forward but very slow.

When you start, most challenges and pick ups are locked.
You need to play in championship mode to unlock as you play.
In most challenges, you will find pick up boxes. Power ups or features will be granted randomly.Rocket: light fireworks rocket to shoot opponents. It will flip the car over if you get close enough. No need to aim, it’s auto lock.

Barrel Drop: three heavy barrels you can drop on the floor. It will make things harder for players following you. Watch out, they don’t disappear that fast, you might run into your own barrels.

Oil Drop: A classic! Tank of very slippery engine oil. Drop it in turns to have maximum effect on your opponents.

Tank Refill: this power up will refill your tank immediately. It is very nice at the end of a race or in long uphill. Counter EMP attack (see EMP).

Mystery Pick up: drop this mystery pick up on the floor and let your opponent take it. It will invert their right and left for a moment. Very funny – when someone else picks it up!

Turbo Boost: these two small rocket engines will boost you twice your maximum speed. Works also in the air while jumping!

Flash Bang: blinds every opponent for one moment. Just long enough to miss that turn!

Freeze: auto lock cryogenic beam – turns your opponent in an ice cube.

Shield: is an electromagnetic shield protecting you from rockets and other attacks. It will also strongly repel opponents and objects. It can be deactivated by the EMP.

EMP: empties all opponents’ tanks and disable shields. Very powerful pick up.

Mortar: big fireworks rocket with auto lock on the leading player. You can run, but you can’t hide.

Time warp: secret weapon, no one has used it yet.

• If your spring is empty, release the acceleration trigger to recharge it.
• The engine will reload while jumping
• On bobsleigh races, the engine will not recharge!
• Going backwards makes the spring go up faster
• You can switch pick ups if you have several
• Releasing the acceleration trigger will make you fall faster
• Stay focused on shortcuts, most races have some
• Using a turbo boost will unable a time warp
• EMP will unable any active shield
• Using a turbo boost at the right time will save you from a Mortar
• To gather some golden flags, you will have to deactivate the auto respawn
• You can use different type of cars for most challenges
• If you eat pizza while playing Mad Tracks, you will have a greasy pad
• You can accelerate and turn (spin) if you are stuck in front of an obstacle
• The shield will push all object (interesting in “kick’em all”)
• You don’t have to wait for the auto respawn if you fall, use the Y button

Bronze Rumble: Gather at least 11 Bronze medals
Can’t pick this: Do not pick up any power ups for 3 laps in ‘Black Out’
8-Ball: Win a pool game without pocketing the black ball
Real fun: Finish 5 challenges with friends on split screen
Treasure: Pick up 5 golden flags in “Black out”
Loaded: Unlock all power ups
Chain racing: Finish ‘Toy Race’ 20 times in a row
Silver Fight: Gather at least 12 Silver medals
Alien Hunt: Find 5 golden Aliens in “Toy race”
Gold Struggle: Gather at least 15 Gold medals
Hero: Finish 1st 5 times in a row against 5 hard NPC on ‘Speed Racer’
Ultra Fast Food: Beat 1mn15sec on ‘Fast Food’
