Ho Tu Lo Shu: The Books of Dragon – Character Creation Guide

I’ve restarted the game many many times as I try to learn the various skills and combinations. This is just a quick guide to save you a few minutes in case you see the results of each question.

This questions determines which Title is available to you which provides a passive bonus. Only one title can be active at once. I don’t honestly know what most of these mean, but I can highly recommend Heaven’s Lonely Star for the early game or situations where you are fighting by yourself.

“Kind of Romance” – Always melancholy

“Single Dog” – Flirtation

“Be a person” – Renaissance Madman

“Martial arts world” – Hindsight

“Anyway” – Heaven’s Lonely Star

Your starting personality type.

“For the country” – Good

“Orders the world” – Evil

“Let go of the waves” – Crazy/Wild

“Strictly guarding” – Upright

These titles are more profession based. This Title cannot stack with Question 1, you can only have one active at a time. I’m partial to Hollow Man for easily stealing. Even as a Good character you might need to steal a key or two from a guard.

“Eat grass” – Reborn Shennong (Herbalism)

“Mining” – Gold Miner

“Borrowing” – Hollow Man

“No penny” – Rich Man

Note that you aren’t yet choosing your starting weapon, just your bonus.

Question 5 determines which talent tree you start in.

“Fierce and innocent” – Hard Tree
First Ability: Zhi Rou

“Weaken and win” – Soft Tree
First Ability: Killing with kindess

“Body like the wind” – Active Tree
First Ability: Rabbit

“Advantage of strength” – Quiet Tree
First Ability: Jing Yi

“Change the illusion” – Clever Tree
First Ability: Cleverly break the clumsy

“Return to truth” – Stupid Tree
First Ability: To win with a clumsy victory
