everyone with the Ram problem and windows. Right click start button or click if windows 7 goto system / right click computer then properties. System info or win 7 advanced system properties (win10 is next step) performance tab middle tab set focus to background processes, second part is if you have any gaming software turn off gaming mode, third part is alt tab out of game (win 7 ) set priority of gtfo to low or sub normal.
Also for laptop players go to Nvidia Control Panel PhysX and make sure your nvida / amd card is set to the main processor as the system will not intelligently decipher the built in card vs the additional FX
As well as Right click GTFO exe go to properties compatibility tab and run compatibility previous version and or turn off full screen optimizations
This will take away a good portion of issues for laptop / desktop issues
Tested on 4 systems ranging from 3900x to i7-3770 and mobile processors with nvidia card and built in graphics laptops
