INTRODUCTION
Hello! This guide shows info about the characters playable in Graze Counter GM.
If you’re looking for information about the characters you play as, or you just want a heads-up on what you want to play as, look no more!
UNIVERSAL SKILLS
- Generates a shield after 15 seconds if you don’t have a shield.
Beginner-friendly, allows you to make more mistakes than usual. Super useful for getting Extend Bonuses.
- Break gauge charges 2x faster, and allows you to ‘Half-Break’
Gives you another state of Break:
Half-Break – Allows you to enter Break Mode half a bar, but does not delete any projectiles present in screen.
Very useful for clearing projectiles faster, can chain Counter and Break mode more easy.
- Gives you an invulnerable shield above 70%
Not as useful as Auto-Shield, but it allows you to play more recklessly as your requirement for getting a counter-shield is dropped down to 70%.

- SHOT: 3 PROJECTILES STRAIGHT, LEFT AND RIGHT PROJECTILES SHOOTS 5 DEGREES
- BREAK: 2 BIG PROJECTILES STRAIGHT, LEFT AND RIGHT PROJECTILES SHOOTS 5 DEGREES
Very average, good entry for beginners.
- SPEED: NORMAL
- SHOT: 3 PROJECTILES STRAIGHT, LEFT AND RIGHT PROJECTILES SHOOTS STRAIGHT
- BREAK: 2 BIG PROJECTILES STRAIGHT, LEFT AND RIGHT PROJECTILES SHOOTS STRAIGHT
This type is more damage oriented, and sacrifices crowd control for more focused fire.
- SPEED: SLOW
- SHOT: 3 PROJECTILES STRAIGHT, LEFT AND RIGHT PROJECTILES SHOOTS 5 DEGREES, ADDITIONAL PROJECTILES SHOOT 15 DEGREES
- BREAK: 2 BIG PROJECTILES STRAIGHT, LEFT AND RIGHT PROJECTILES SHOOTS 5 DEGREES, ADDITIONAL PROJECTILES SHOOT 15 DEGREES
This type focuses more on crowd control, and can shoot a lot of bullets that spread far in exchange for slow speed.
A side-grade of TYPE-1.
- SPEED: FAST
- SHOT: 3 PROJECTILES STRAIGHT, LEFT AND RIGHT PROJECTILES ARE BIG AND SHOOTS STRAIGHT
- BREAK: 2 BIG PROJECTILES STRAIGHT, LEFT AND RIGHT PROJECTILES SHOOTS STRAIGHT
This type is also damage oriented, and sacrifices crowd control for more focused fire. Only difference is the left and right projectiles are slightly big, and you move faster.
A side-grade of TYPE-2.
EXTRA TYPES

- BREAK: 2 BIG PROJECTILES STRAIGHT, LEFT AND RIGHT PROJECTILES SHOOTS 5 DEGREES
- EXCLUSIVE SKILL: EXCHANGE (YOU GAIN BREAK METER INSTEAD OF COUNTER, AND BREAK MODE GIVES COUNTER GAUGE + AUTO-SHIELD)
A very strong version of TYPE-1 it might as well even be a direct upgrade! You gain 2 skills in one, and you get to maintain your Break mode longer by grazing.
- SPEED: NORMAL
- SHOT: 3 PROJECTILES STRAIGHT, LEFT AND RIGHT PROJECTILES SHOOTS STRAIGHT
- BREAK: 2 BIG PROJECTILES STRAIGHT, LEFT AND RIGHT PROJECTILES SHOOTS STRAIGHT
- EXCLUSIVE SKILL: RULE BREAKER (YOU GAIN BREAK METER INSTEAD OF COUNTER, AND BREAK MODE GIVES COUNTER GAUGE + SAFETY SYSTEM)
Same case as the type above, but a little worse in survivability. Dishes out more damage than TYPE-5.

- EXCLUSIVE SKILL: TRINITY FORCE (YOU GAIN ALL 3 UNIVERSAL SKILLS IN ONE)
Another TYPE-1 doppelganger, but this time you have 3 skills and move slow.
- SPEED: FAST
- SHOT: SLASH LEFT AND RIGHT
- BREAK: SLASH LEFT AND RIGHT, LEFT AND RIGHT PROJECTILE SHOOTS 15 DEGREES, SHOOTS STRAIGHT PROJECTILE INFRONT
- EXCLUSIVE SKILL: EXTEND GUARD (COUNTERING AT 50% GAUGE GIVES YOU A TEMPORARY SHIELD)
My favorite EXTRA! This sacrifices the bullets you have with a giant saber. Plenty strong too, but is more risky in playstyle. Has a better safety system skill.

- SHOT: 3 PROJECTILES STRAIGHT, LEFT AND RIGHT PROJECTILES SHOOTS STRAIGHT UNLESS IN TARGETTING RADIUS
- BREAK: 2 BIG PROJECTILES STRAIGHT, LEFT AND RIGHT PROJECTILES SHOOTS UNLESS IN TARGETTING RADIUS, RADIUS IS INCREASED (FULLSCREEN IF PLAYER IS IN THE MIDDLE)
- EXCLUSIVE SKILL: PEACEFUL DEATH (GAIN A RADIUS THAT TARGETS NEARBY ENEMIES)
A type that isn’t a ship! Has very good crowd control capabilities, especially during Break mode. Offset by how slow she is.
- SPEED: VERY FAST
- SHOT: ACTIVATES DRILL
- BREAK: 2 BIG PROJECTILES STRAIGHT, LEFT AND RIGHT PROJECTILES SHOOTS STRAIGHT
- EXCLUSIVE SKILL: SINGULARITY! (SHOT TYPE IS REPLACED WITH A DRILL INFFRONT OF YOU.)
Another type that isn’t a ship! Very fast and somewhat hard to control, you have a melee attack option outside of your Break mode.

- SHOT: 3 PROJECTILES STRAIGHT, LEFT AND RIGHT PROJECTILES SHOOTS 5 DEGREES
- BREAK: THIN LASER BEAM YOU CAN CONTROL BY MOVING LEFT AND RIGHT
- EXCLUSIVE SKILL: ETERNAL SPHERE (REPLACES YOUR BREAK MODE SHOT WITH A CONTROLLABLE LASER BEAM)
Aaand back to ships. Very gimmicky Break mode, but the crowd control potential is there. Not much to say other than a very hard type to control.
- SPEED: SLOW
- SHOT: 3 PROJECTILES STRAIGHT, LEFT AND RIGHT PROJECTILES SHOOTS 5 DEGREES, ADDITIONAL LEFT AND RIGHT PROJECTILES SHOOT 15 DEGREES
- BREAK: REPLACES SHOT WITH 4 SMALL PROJECTILES THAT TARGETS ENEMIES DEPENDING HOW NEAR THEY ARE TO YOU
- EXCLUSIVE SKILL: ANOTHER MISSION (SUMMONS ADD-ON SHIP ON BREAK MODE, PASSIVELY GAINS BREAK SLOWLY)
Has a shot type similar to TYPE-3, but this type’s Break mode is very strong in crowd control!

- EXCLUSIVE SKILL: HYPER DRIVE (ALLOWS YOU TO ENTER BOTH COUNTER AND BREAK MODE + BREAK BOOSTER)
Ah, Cocoa. My favorite character in Tokoyo, quite literally the most busted type ever. This type has maximum damage potential because of how ridiculous it is to combine both break and counter mode simultaneously. You can even shoot bullets during Counter mode, and it allows you to maintain Break mode for longer as the stars give you Break as well.
- SPEED: NORMAL
- SHOT: 3 PROJECTILES STRAIGHT, LEFT AND RIGHT PROJECTILES SHOOTS STRAIGHT
- BREAK: 2 BIG PROJECTILES STRAIGHT, LEFT AND RIGHT PROJECTILES SHOOTS STRAIGHT
- EXCLUSIVE SKILL: MANUAL SHIELD (GAIN SHIELD BY GRAZING + SAFETY SYSTEM)
This type has a skill that is honestly just a worse version of Auto-Shield at lower difficulties, but a very great one at higher difficulties!

- SHOT: 3 PROJECTILES STRAIGHT, LEFT AND RIGHT PROJECTILES SHOOTS 5 DEGREES
- BREAK: 2 BIG PROJECTILES STRAIGHT, LEFT AND RIGHT PROJECTILES SHOOTS 5 DEGREES
- EXCLUSIVE SKILL: QUICK DRAW (COUNTER GAIN IS INCREASED)
A more aggressive playstyle, The faster counter gain allows you to be invulnerable most of the time.

This type allows you to stay in Counter and Break mode longer, even more useful in harder difficulties.
