Ameagari no Hanaby: 100% Items and Maps Guide

If anyone would be willing to help translate this guide to Japanese (I don’t speak the language and don’t want to just use google translate) I would greatly appreciate it and would give equal credit to the translator.

Each section below is separated by chapters of the game (8 in total).

100% items in Hanaby consists of:

– 10 heart upgrades (for 15 hearts total)
– 14 star upgrades
– 13 large star upgrades (for 300 stars total)
– 7 new fireworks (for 8 fireworks total)

More info on the drawn maps below:

– Click on each map for a full-size view.
– An arrow indicates a 1-way trip when taking a door or beating a boss.
– An X indicates a point where Hanaby will be dropped after taking a door or beating a boss, and is always a 1-way trip.
– After collecting a jewel in world 8, the door leading to said jewel section will disappear.
– Regular star upgrades add 5 stars to your total capacity, while large star upgrades add 10.

World 1 Map

Heart Upgrade 1:

How to get: This upgrade is easily visible as you climb the village section. At the top of the village, jump and firework hover to the left from the highest available platform, then climb down the small platforms to reach it.

Heart Upgrade 2:

How to get: There are 2 small baths in the village. Head to the right side of these where an NPC is standing, and drop down off the rightmost edge. Firework hover to the left to land on a platform, and from there jump over to the heart.

World 2 Map

New Firework 1- Hydrangea:

How to get: This firework is impossible to miss or skip. Tama will automatically gift it to Hanaby early on in the world.

Star Upgrade 1:

How to get: Immediately after talking to Tama, take the platform up and climb the roof of Tama’s building to find it.

Heart Upgrade 3:

How to get: Take either door 4 or 5 (numbered on the map) to enter a building. Use the moving platform above to reach doors 6 and 7. Take door 6, and the heart will be immediately on the left.

Star Upgrade 2:

How to get: While climbing the main building, stop at the checkpoint next to door 13. Jump off the right side here and press against the right wall to find an alcove with the star.

Heart Upgrade 4:

How to get: Take door 18 and cross the spike room to reach the heart.

Star Upgrade 3:

How to get: After climbing the main building, there’s a checkpoint next to door 16. To reach door 16 from below, there’s also a moving platform on a track. Take the platform, and at its height, jump off to the left and firework hover to reach the star.

Star Upgrade 4:

Before dropping to the goal, there’s an arrow made of coins pointing down. Jump past that arrow and land on the small ledge to the right. From that ledge, jump right and firework hover to land past the goal and reach the star. (Note: it’s also possible to jump over a goal gate from ground level. This is a more precise but doable way to reach the star too.)

World 3 Map

Heart Upgrade 5:

How to get: To the left of the shop is a swinging platform. Take the platform, and at the far left side, jump off and firework hover to reach a small block. Jump and hover further left from that block to reach a ledge with the heart.

Star Upgrade 5:

How to get: Immediately after taking door 2, go down the stairs of blocks to find a small pool of water to the left. Jump into the pool and hold left to slip under the water and reach door 3, which leads right to the star.

Shop 2:
– New Firework 3 – Miscanthus (249 rain)
– Large Star Upgrade 3 (149 rain)

Heart Upgrade 6:

How to get: Take door 4 and head through the moving platform section to reach the heart.

Star Upgrade 6:

How to get: Climb up the Christmas section to door 8. Take the door and jump across the ornaments to reach the star.

Star Upgrade 7:

How to get: After getting the previous star from door 8 and exiting through door 9, drop down the right side off the edge and veer left. Some platforms here have money – continue to drop past these and head left at the bottom to reach door 10. Climb this section to reach the star.

Star Upgrade 8:

How to get: While climbing the Christmas section, on the far left side (right before the checkpoint and long platform ride), jump and hover to the left to reach a platform with the star.

Star Upgrade 9:

How to get: At the checkpoint before the long platform section, jump up the platforms and ornaments above to reach door 12. Go through the door 12 section to reach the star.

World 5 Map

Heart Upgrade 7:

How to get: Take the moving platform at the start of the world. As the platform is heading straight up (near the end of the track), jump left and use the momentum and firework hovering to land on a rotating star above. Jump and hover further left to reach the heart.

Star Upgrade 10:

How to get: Take door 5 to the room with the translator. From the 2nd or 3rd moving platform after the entrance, jump right and firework hover to reach the star.

Star Upgrade 11:

How to get: When taking the final moving platform in the translator room, wait until the platform reaches its height and use the momentum to jump and firework hover to the high platforms on the right. Jump up the clouds, and the star upgrade is near the top.

Star Upgrade 12:

How to get: In the main room at the top left corner (by door 5), drop off the left side and hug the clouds to the right. There are a few small platforms on the way down. Continue down until you find the one with the star.

How to get: Take door 3 and jump across the platforming section to reach the heart.

Star Upgrade 13:

How to get: Get the translator and take door 8. Here, there’s a series of upward moving platforms. Above the first red/fast platform, there are 2 more red/fast platforms – one on the left and one on the right. Take the one on the right, and at its peak, jump right and firework hover. The momentum is just enough to reach a platform on the right, and the star is just above that on the roof to Trough’s room.

Heart Upgrade 9:

How to get: Enter the last bathhouse room through door 6, and after climbing past the first 3 vibrators, jump to the left ledge. Jump left and firework hover to reach another platform, and above that is a ledge with the heart.

Star Upgrade 14:

How to get: Again in the last bathhouse, past the first 3 vibrators, there’s a drop point to the right where a line of money leads down. Instead of falling there, jump to the right and firework hover to land on the pivot of a vibrator. Jump and hover again to land on the next pivot, and one final time to reach a small platform with the star.

How to get: In the large room reached by door 3, jump up the platforms to the top-middle area to reach the last heart.

By the end, Hanaby should have in total:
