Star Story: The Horizon Escape – Endings Guide

A little overview which choices you have to make to get to which ending. If you’ve missed one you can just take a peek here and quickly find out which one it is and how to get there.

— Why is this here? What is it? —

Hello there! Since I’ve recently been playing this game – Star Story: The Horizon Escape – I decided to keep track of which choices I had made to get to which ending. I guess some of you might find this useful, so I’m sharing it. Keep in mind that this is my first guide and it won’t be very appealing to the eyes.

— Does it include spoilers? —

Well, since it displays which choices you have to make to get to which ending… yes, it does include spoilers. At the end of each “route” I added some little extra info which also might seem “spoilerish” in nature. Beware!

“Following the unknown SOS signal” endings

Ending #1: Viva la Resistance
-> Option #1 (Follow the unknown SOS signal)
-> Option #1 (The stranger was captured by some freaks)
-> Option #1 Yeah why not/Free Sly Sidemonius -> Deny the offer. Help Sid escape from this city.
-> Option #1 Sid is right. You should help him with his revolution.
-> Defeat Slug. I guess smoke grenades with steir stun are very helpful. The End.

Ending #2: Rankine Zero
-> Option #1 (Follow the unknown SOS signal)
-> Option #1 (The stranger was captured by some freaks)
-> Option #1 Yeah why not/Free Sly Sidemonius -> Deny the offer. Help Sid escape from this city.
-> Option #2 Screw Sid.
Get frozen. The End.

Ending #3: Regicide 40K
-> Option #1 (Follow the unknown SOS signal)
-> Option #1 (The stranger was captured by some freaks)
-> Option #2 Accept the offer and tell the bandit boss about the artifact coordinates.
-> Option #1 Give Slug the artifact and join him on the way to the Horizon Hall of Control…
-> Help them take down Slug? Run for your life?
Die. The End.

Ending #4: Van in Wonderland
-> Option #1 (Follow the unknown SOS signal)
-> Option #1 (The stranger was captured by some freaks)
-> Option #2 Accept the offer and tell the bandit boss about the artifact coordinates.
-> Option #2 Tell Slug that you didn’t find anything and quietly sneak away.
Join forces? The End.

Ending #5: Power Underwhelming
-> Option #1 (Follow the unknown SOS signal)
-> Option #2 (All of this was none of your business)
-> Option #1 Take the artifact to your crashed ship lab to examine.
-> Option #1 Listen to Verdana. Use your SOL drive.
Keep on cooling the bomb. Explode? The End.

Ending #6: Shadows and Stardust
-> Option #1 (Follow the unknown SOS signal)
-> Option #2 (All of this was none of your business)
-> Option #1 Take the artifact to your crashed ship lab to examine.
-> Option #2 Listen to the girl. Give her the artifact.
Continue your way. Fight the bandits. The End.

Ending #7: Return of the Nightbringer
-> Option #1 (Follow the unknown SOS signal)
-> Option #2 (All of this was none of your business)
-> Option #2 “Come closer. I know what you desire…”
-> Option #1 “Follow me! Listen to me! I will give you power overwhelming!”
Continue. Lose your mind. The End.

Ending #8: The Fellowship of the Hippie
-> Option #1 (Follow the unknown SOS signal)
-> Option #2 (All of this was none of your business)
-> Option #2 “Come closer. I know what you desire…”
-> Option #2 Throw the artifact at the sand shrimp, climb on one of the large rocks…
Ascend. Bring Peace? The End.

“Track your ships trail” endings

Ending #9: You Shall Not Pass
-> Option #2 (Track your ships trail)
-> Option #2 Help the girl on her questionable mission.
-> Option #2 “It is about time you stopped listening to others and started listening to yourself…”
-> Option #1 Kill! Kill! Kill!
Gain the Power of Vas. Take the shot. The End.

Ending #10: Dark Knight
-> Option #2 (Track your ships trail)
-> Option #2 Help the girl on her questionable mission.
-> Option #2 “It is about time you stopped listening to others and started listening to yourself…”
-> Option #2 Put all your force into making your fingers release the gun.
Save the day? The End.

Ending #11: Romanticide
-> Option #2 (Track your ships trail)
-> Option #2 Help the girl on her questionable mission.
-> Option #1 If Verdana sided with the girl, this must be really serious.
-> Option #2 “Do you think you could fool me so easily?”
Continue. Fall in love. Die. The End.

Ending #12: I, Android
-> Option #2 (Track your ships trail)
-> Option #2 Help the girl on her questionable mission.
-> Option #1 If Verdana sided with the girl, this must be really serious.
-> Option #1 Take your gun out and point it at Ada.
Continue bringing forth doom upon all. The End.

Ending #13: Plan ‘B’
-> Option #2 (Track your ships trail)
-> Option #1 Follow Verdana’s plan. Eject your SOL drive.
-> Option #1 Point your gun at Sid and show him that he is staying here.
-> Option #2 To hell with her! Bring Slug the artifact.
Build a death star. Continue your way. Blow up. The End.

Ending #14: Rule of Four
-> Option #2 (Track your ships trail)
-> Option #1 Follow Verdana’s plan. Eject your SOL drive.
-> Option #1 Point your gun at Sid and show him that he is staying here.
-> Option #1 Second thoughts! Actually help the girl escape.
Continue. Shoot people. The End.

Ending #15: Feuerzauber
-> Option #2 (Track your ships trail)
-> Option #1 Follow Verdana’s plan. Eject your SOL drive.
-> Option #2 Point your gun at Slug and show him that you are not joking.
-> Option #1 Hell with this planet. Make me a copy of the SOL drive!
Continue. Behold the robot revolution. Die. The End.

Ending #16: Captain Van Klik
-> Option #2 (Track your ships trail)
-> Option #1 Follow Verdana’s plan. Eject your SOL drive.
-> Option #2 Point your gun at Slug and show him that you are not joking.
-> Option #2 Pygmies first. If we don’t deal with this now, there may be nothing left after.
Continue. Become Pygmie-Fodder. The End.

“You uncovered the known location of the Generation Database” endings

Ending #17: 
-> Option #3 (You uncovered the known location of the Generation Database)
-> Option #1 Tell Blake about your crashed ship and lead him there.
-> Option #1 Ignore Ada’s call for help.
-> Option #1 There is no reason not to believe Blake. Follow his plan and get the job done.
Continue on your way. Become a brain in a jar. The End.

Ending #18: S’ Stands For Schwarzschild
-> Option #3 (You uncovered the known location of the Generation Database)
-> Option #1 Tell Blake about your crashed ship and lead him there.
-> Option #1 Ignore Ada’s call for help.
-> Option #2 Verdana’s moral compass always was in your best interest.
Continue. Get swallowed by a black hole. The End.

Ending #19: Flawless Victory
-> Option #3 (You uncovered the known location of the Generation Database)
-> Option #1 Tell Blake about your crashed ship and lead him there.
-> Option #2 Ignore Blake’s proposal. Follow Ada.
-> Option #1 “Did you think I am going to be her slave? I got my own plan for this.”
Explosion! Stranded! The End.

Ending #20: Pariah
-> Option #3 (You uncovered the known location of the Generation Database)
-> Option #1 Tell Blake about your crashed ship and lead him there.
-> Option #2 Ignore Blake’s proposal. Follow Ada.
-> Option #2 This is a pact. We are on it till the end.
Get Blaked. The End.

Ending #21: Evening Show
-> Option #3 (You uncovered the known location of the Generation Database)
-> Option #2 Tell Blake false coordinates of your ship.
-> Option #1 An all-knowing android may be right after all.
-> Option #1 There was only way to get out of this planet.
Do a rap battle. Die. The End.

Ending #22: Carnage TV
-> Option #3 (You uncovered the known location of the Generation Database)
-> Option #2 Tell Blake false coordinates of your ship.
-> Option #1 An all-knowing android may be right after all.
-> Option #2 Are you totally mad? A peaceful way? This is not a child’s fairytale.
You’re dead? The End.

Ending #23: Deus Ex?
-> Option #3 (You uncovered the known location of the Generation Database)
-> Option #2 Tell Blake false coordinates of your ship.
-> Option #2 Verdana was right. This sinister feeling could not trick you.
-> Option #1 Bury the artifact as planned.
Get deceived. The End.

Ending #24: Icarus Affect
-> Option #3 (You uncovered the known location of the Generation Database)
-> Option #2 Tell Blake false coordinates of your ship.
-> Option #2 Verdana was right. This sinister feeling could not trick you.
-> Option #2 Do not bury the artifact. It is precious to you!
Get angry. Shoot. The End.

The grand golden ending

At least that’s the way I did it. This will become available once you’ve unlocked certain parts of the story. Just select the first option that you’re asked right before you usually chose between the three different paths/starts. Be sure to fill your inventory before trying this, as you won’t have a base to build new stuff (which could be a bug).

The grand finale:
-> Option #2 Tell Blake of the ancient artifact that can make people who touch it clever…
-> Option #1 Sid. The weird local revolutionary. He (k)new the planet like the back of his hand…
-> Option #2 Sid. We have to save the people of this planet. And I have devised a plan…
