Skul is no ordinary skeleton. In addition to his formidable fighting skills, he can gain new and exciting abilities depending on which skull he’s wearing. Use up to 2 skulls at a time, each of which has its own unique attack range, speed and power. Choose combos that match your playing style and switch them in the heat of battle to bring your enemies to their knees. The power is in your hands!
How and where do you find Skulls?
Skulls can be found by interacting with piles of bones. They appear randomly at around halfway through the stage and they’re usually found in an area with practice targets as shown in our first image. There are different piles of bones you can find and they each represent the quality of the Skull they hold. Lower tier bones can also sometimes reward with higher quality Skulls.
You will find piles of common bones in the first map. These hold Skulls like the Mummy and Minotaur. They are generally the weakest Skulls, but if you’re smart about your items, you can finish the whole game with just the Mummy Skull, for example.
Rare Bones hold Rare Skulls, which are more powerful than common Skulls. You can expect to find Skulls like the Warrior.
Unique Bones hold Unique Skulls and they are some of the rarest and you can find extremely useful ones such as the Predator and Dark Paladin Skulls.
Legendary Bones will appear very rarely and they hold some of the most powerful Skulls such as the ‘Fighter.
Upgrading Skulls
A new feature of the Skul 1.0 Update is Skull Upgrading. While on Early Access all Skulls were individual entities of their own, with their own rarity, you’ll now find lots of lower rarity Skulls that can be upgraded in order to obtain more powerful Skills and Buffs. The NPC responsible for Upgrades is Arachne, and she’ll only do them in exchange for incremental amounts of Bones (the most common upgrade pattern is 10 Bones, then 30 and finally 100). The number of Skulls in a Line -thus upgrades too- changes from Line to Line, and so will the amount of Bones Arachne will ask you for. She’s found on every level – at their entrance for all levels but the first, and at the middle for all of them.

Fast Step
Quickly dash, sending the first enemy you hit flying. Enemies receive additional damage when they hit walls. 15 energy.
Nuclear Punch
Concentrate energy onto your gauntlet, and then deliver a powerful hook. Enemies receive additional damage if they hit walls. 30 energy.
Parry
Negate enemy attacks and counterattacks. Enemies receive additional damage when they hit walls. 25 energy.

- Features/Notes:When attacking with normal attacks, there’s a certain chance to gain cells. When 5 cells are accumulated, acquires a random scroll that provides a certain buff.

Greatsword
Swings a slow, heavy sword that deals Physical Damage. 12 seconds cooldown.

Fires a freeze-inflicting arrow that deals Magic Damage. Holding down the button initiates concentration, and when fully completed, the skill damage is reduced but fires 4 piercing arrows that deal Crit. damage. 10 seconds cooldown.

Single Slash
Move forward, slashing at enemies, before sheathing your sword. Sheathing removes all marks and increases damage based on the number of marks. 4 seconds cooldown.
Spinning Slash
Slash enemies using a spinning attack. Hit the skill button repteadly to use this skill up to 3 times. 7 seconds cooldown.
Evasion Slash
Negate enemy attacks and counterattacks. Leaves max amount of marks on enemies you hit. 5 seconds cooldown.
