Exodemon: 100% Achievements Guide

Saving

Before starting a new level, save the save-file in a backup folder. That way you can go back and retry levels.

Save Location: C:\Users\*YOUR_USERNAME*\AppData\LocalLow\Kuupu\Exodemon\
(Copy the “GameSave” file to separate folder)

Many Achievements Unlock at the end of the level during loading of the Results.

Let me know if you need additional help with any of them!

Play through the campaign. Takes roughly 2-3h on first run.

Start a new game and finish it without dying. Simple? Not really, it’s easy to accidentally die in some levels (pits, crushing elevators, those pesky small aliens that gang up on you).

(! Remember to backup your Save File after each level !)

If you die, don’t checkpoint restart. You can’t reload your old Save File directly either, because Player Death is stored separately. HOWEVER, there is a work-around:

The “Player Death” value is reset on New Game.

1. First make sure you have a copy of your Save File before starting the level.
2. Delete any “Checkpoint” file in the save directory
3. Start a New Game and play though first level. Then exit to Main Menu.
4. Copy your previously saved Save File and paste it over the new one. Continue the game.

You’ll be back on the level you died on and you can try again, deathcount is now reset.

This one is a bit tricky as you (at the current build) have no idea what “The Best Time” is per level.
In the End Result Screen there is a Time score. 10.000 being the highest, 0 the worst time. I’ve found that if you have a score of 8000+ you beat the Best Time. (This could maybe vary per level, or +- a few 100s) 

You also have to do this in one run, Best Times reset per New Game.

Now there is a way to check if you have beat the best time per level, in the Save File. After each level, go to the GameSave file and look under “_bestTimeAchieved” and count what level you are on. (Double Click on the file and choose Notepad)

If you were too slow, go back to menu and paste your last saved Save File and try again.

Tactics:

You can’t get 100% Items / Weapons / HP Upgrades in each level on this run, so you need to prioritize what to pickup. I at least picked up all main weapons, and some HP Upgrades, but far from all. Also Ammo and Health isn’t that important as you’ll mostly run past enemies. There are several places you can skip over enemies. (More on this in my upcoming video)

I suggest you go for Speeder Achievement first, and this will be unlocked as well.

2h is not that hard to beat, probably not on your first run though. If there are areas that you can skip, then do so. Jump over or run past enemies that aren’t necessary to kill. Don’t go for all weapon upgrades or HP Upgrades. You DO have time to pick up 100% Items in this run, but it’s going to be tight unless you know exactly where to go.

I suggest trying this out in the very first level 01. Laboratory, it’s easy and short with relatively few ranged enemies.

You need to pickup every Health, Ammo, Health Upgrade, Weapon (Upgrade) in any level.

You’ll probably unlock this in the first level. If you have troubles finding all items in a level, follow the 100% Item guide.

For 100% Completion you need to pickup every Health, Ammo, Health Upgrade, Weapon (Upgrade) in every level.

After each level, in the Result screen, you can check if you managed to find every item. The Completion needs to be 100%

If you missed something, go back to menu and paste your last saved Save File and try again.

Go to a level with Fish Aliens and start killing them, they respawn.

Suggested Levels: 

• 07. Sewers Entrance
• 09. Pumping Complex
• 15. Sulfur Lake

! Currently Not Possible / Or unreliable ! 

Waiting for patch to fix this one. (End Result almost always shows 0% Accuracy when using Ranged attacks.) Also, don’t Restart level as this seems to mess up the Result screen as well. Exit to Menu and Continue.

Suggested Levels 02. Biological Research Center

Tactics: You’ll only have Pistol in this level, aim well and don’t pick up all ammo instantly, as you’re likely to run out. You have to explore the full level and kill every enemy with Pistol. Don’t miss!

or 09. Pumping Complex

Tactics: You have more weapons at this point. But I focused on Pistol and Cannon only for best accuracy. Avoid using the Grenade as it’s splash damage won’t count as a hit. SMG’s will have too much scatter. Go straight up to enemies and shoot them point blank. You’ll likely have enough Health as you regain Health per checkpoint + plenty of HP pickups.

Suggested level 02. Biological Research Center

Tactics: Walk straight up to enemies and punch them in the face. Make sure not to miss any hits and do not shoot your gun!

Jump over an enemy and melee attack it to death. Easiest targets are the small one-hit enemies. Jump from a platform or cliff above an enemy for instance.

Find a level with long distance and shoot a grenade as far as you can towards an enemy. It’s hard to know exactly how far 100 units are so might as well overshoot it as much as you can.

Suggested Levels:

• 11. Hill Offices
• 13. City
• 15. Sulfur Lake

Find a level with many of the small aliens grouped together, and blast them with a grenade!

• 13. City

Shotgun or Cannon are best for this Achievement. You’ll be able to do this one in basically any level. Just as you see an enemy spawn, shoot it!

Find a pool of Orange Goo and stand in it until you die (make sure you’re not hit by enemies in case they kill-steal).

Suggested Levels:

• 06. Cargo Bay
• 07. Sewers Entrance
• 08. Distribution Center
• 09. Pumping Complex

Find a pool of Orange Goo and stand in it to take damage. Your character has a maximum of 11 Health so you have to either die or grab a healthpack inbetween. This damage is tracked throughout the game and doesn’t have to be 20 hits in the same level.

Suggested Levels:

• 06. Cargo Bay
• 07. Sewers Entrance
• 08. Distribution Center
• 09. Pumping Complex

Find a level with an endless hole in the ground and jump down.

Suggested Levels:

• 03. Subject Storage Unity
• 04. Warehouse
• 05. Maintenance Facility

! Currently not possible for everyone !

Waiting for patch to fix this one. (Depending on the Keyboard you have the ‘ <- key gives a different KeyCode and thus doesn’t trigger the Console)

Adding Spoiler Warning Here! It’s cheating after all 😉

1. Open your game and start a level
2. Find your ‘ <- key on your KeyBoard (Single Quote: the location depends on your keyboard and country. Sometimes top left under Esc, sometimes left of Retrun).
3. Bottom left corner should open the “Console” (a text)
4. Type “cheats” and you should unlock the achievement

For those with Scandinavian Keyboards (or others that don’t recognize the ‘ key). I have a workaround. I setup a virtual-keystroke hotkey. It sends KeyCode 192 to the game.

1. Download Strokes Plus (It’s free)

Strokes Plus (Custom Hotkey Program [www.strokesplus.com]

2. “Configure Hotkeys” -> Add new Hotkey and choose your key-combination

3. add this in Lua Script: acSendKeys(‘%{vkey 192}’)

4. Hit Apply and run the game

5. Start level and press your hotkey. Voilá!
