The Walking Archive achievement in VESSELS: Noiret Mansion is one of those collectibles that punishes you for being casual about your exploration. If you’re chasing 100%, this is the note list I wish I’d had from the start, because nabbing every single one means sweeping each area before you move on — and once you cross certain thresholds, some notes are gone for good.
What makes this one tricky isn’t that the notes are hidden especially well; it’s the point-of-no-return pacing. I built this guide because the order you explore in genuinely matters, and I’d rather you get the full set on your first run than have to replay the whole mansion. Below is every note, where it lives, and the one rule you absolutely cannot ignore.
The One Rule That Matters Most
Before anything else: once you leave an area — say, stepping out of the Mansion to the grounds outside — you cannot go back. That means VESSELS: Noiret Mansion locks you out of whatever you left behind. I’d sweep every note in your current zone before touching a door or threshold that advances the story. If you’re a completionist, treat each area transition like a checkpoint you have to clear first.
Notes Inside the Mansion
This is the biggest cluster, and it’s where I’d tell you to be thorough — several notes here are tucked away in small transition rooms or require a small bit of setup. The Library, the Workshop, and the guest rooms all hold something, so don’t sprint past the quiet rooms thinking there’s nothing in them. Here’s the full sweep:
| Note | Location |
|---|---|
| Newspaper #1 | 2nd Floor hall, next to the save point |
| Lora’s Reading List | Library |
| Blueprint PINHEAD | Workshop |
| Maid’s Note #1 | Living Room |
| Drawing #1 | Nancy’s Room |
| Drawing #3 | Nancy’s Room |
| Drawing #2 | Nancy’s Room — after placing 3 dolls on chairs |
| Police Report #1 | East Hall |
| Adrienne’s Diary #1 | Adrienne’s Room |
| Cultist’s Note | Right stairwell next to the Dining Room |
| Drawing #4 | Outside Lora’s Room, opposite the bathroom |
| Lora’s Diary #1 | Lora’s Room |
| Maid’s Note #2 | Lora’s Bathroom |
| Maid’s Note #3 | Servant’s Room |
| Cultist’s Note #2 | Kitchen |
| Adrienne’s Diary #2 | Parent’s Bedroom — requires both pieces of the crest |
Two things worth flagging here. The Drawing #2 note in Nancy’s Room won’t appear until you place the three dolls on their chairs, so if you count only two drawings there, that’s why — the third shows up afterward. Meanwhile Adrienne’s Diary #2 is gated behind assembling both crest pieces, so don’t stress if the Parent’s Bedroom note isn’t reachable the first time you poke your head in. I’d mark those two rooms for a revisit rather than assume you’re done.
After Leaving the Mansion
Once you’re out on the grounds, the note count drops but the same no-backtracking rule applies. There are four here, and they’re spread across the pool, the swing, and the lead-in to the maze. The one by the swing and the one in the hut across from it are close enough that I’d grab both in one pass rather than wandering between them later.
- Cultist’s Note #3 — next to the pool
- Drawing #5 — on the swing
- Adrienne’s Diary #3 — opposite the swing, inside the hut
- Cultist’s Note #4 — at the start of the maze, next to the save point
In the Graveyard
The Graveyard holds a single entry, Lora’s Diary #3. Easy to overlook if you beeline through, so sweep the area fully before you commit to leaving it behind.
Underground Workshop Notes
This final stretch is dense, and it’s where the list gets a little murky. Most of these sit in clearly labeled rooms, but a couple gave me trouble when I was tracking them down. Here’s the full rundown:
| Note | Location |
|---|---|
| Adrienne’s Note #4 | Entrance |
| BLINDNESS Blueprint | Archive |
| Cultist’s Note #5 | Archive |
| Pierre’s Diary #1 | Workshop |
| Police Report #2 | Uncertain — possibly the Workshop, Restroom, or Pump Room |
| Cultist’s Note #6 | Restroom |
| Lenore’s Note | Lenore’s Room |
| Pierre’s Note #2 | Pierre’s Study |
| Cultist’s Note #7 | Storage Room |
| Lora’s Diary #3 | Wine Cellar |
| Rules of the Resurrection Ritual | Final Room boss fight — place the book on the pedestal |
Two entries in this section deserve a heads-up. Police Report #2 is the vague one — the original note collection isn’t certain whether it turned up in the Workshop, the Restroom, or the Pump Room, so I’d keep an eye on all three as you move through and double-check before you leave the underground entirely. And the Rules of the Resurrection Ritual isn’t lying around waiting to be picked up — it’s tied to the Final Room boss fight, where you place the book on the pedestal. Miss that interaction and you miss the note, so don’t rush the finale.
Wrapping This Up
The biggest favor you can do yourself with Walking Archive is to treat every area exit as final, because in VESSELS: Noiret Mansion it usually is. Clear your current zone of notes first, revisit Nancy’s Room after the dolls and the Parent’s Bedroom after the crest, and keep an eye on that uncertain underground trio. Do that and the full set lands without a second playthrough.
