IGTAP: an Incremental Game That’s Also a Platformer – Late Game Guide

Posted on September 22, 2026September 22, 2026

This guide covers the late-game progression layer of the game: the Atom Collider prestige loop, the upgrade tree priorities that actually matter, the 3 GRP bottleneck, VMAN routing, and every advanced Omnidash movement tech for faster course clears. It is aimed at players who have already cleared the early courses and are now staring at a wall of upgrades wondering which ones are traps.

I put this together because most of the confusion I ran into was self-inflicted — I stalled for a long time on 3 GRP simply because I assumed VMAN ended at five courses. It does not. A few of the movement techs below also took me far longer to discover than I would like to admit, so consider this the write-up I wish I’d had.

Atom Collider: When to Prestige and When to Hold

The Atom Collider functions as your late-game prestige system. Before VMAN courses exist for you, it should be your primary progression engine — but that does not mean firing it off the moment it lights up. A far better habit is to bank upgrades until a single prestige buys you 30–50 upgrade levels at once. Small, frequent resets waste the multiplier curve.

Once GRP enters the picture, slow down. Any stage that produces GRP gets reset by the collider regardless of how far you’ve pushed it, so the calculus changes. Before prestige, work in this order: purchase every GRP-cost upgrade you can afford, cap out your GRP, then collapse the collider.

Editor Warning: Do not prestige the Atom Collider while a GRP-generating stage is mid-run. You lose that stage’s output entirely, and early players often tank their own GRP pacing this way.

Upgrade Tree Priorities (In Rough Unlock Order)

The tree is enormous and the ordering matters more than the individual picks. Below is the sequence I’d follow, ordered by when each node realistically becomes available.

Upgrade Effect / Purpose Editor Rating
Chance for Green Clones Your first purchase and still a top-tier priority. Feeds directly into GRP production even after you’ve moved past it mentally. Essential
Enable Buy Max on Course #’s Upgrades First appears to the right of the tree base for Course 6. Pure quality-of-life — buy it early. Essential
Open the Door to the Facility’s Lower Section Gates your first orb set, the most important early late-game course, and several key upgrades. Essential
Maximum clone speed / size tier Not a flat +1. A max-size green clone versus a default one is roughly a 3x difference in progression speed. Essential
Enable Jump and Dash Refresh Orbs Found far left in the lower facility. Faster course times and required for specific courses. Essential
Buying Atoms No Longer Resets Course # Never skip this. Always top priority when available. Essential
Completing a Course Boosts it by #X for ###s Dump spare NP here during early late game. Becomes far more valuable once NP Gain is Doubled unlocks. Optional (early) / Essential (post-GRP)
The NP Cap is Now a Softcap Over the cap, NP generation degrades the higher you climb — but combined with boosts it accelerates upgrade farming massively. Essential (mid late game)
NP Gain is Doubled for Each Course With an Active Boost Ten courses can stack this. Pair with boost-duration upgrades to reach a 1024x NP ceiling. Essential
X% Increased Clone Dust Clone Dust spawns in the lower facility and later in Course 6 and Course 9. Acts as a GP multiplier. Essential (early/mid late)
Activate Zip Movers Unlocks Course Ten. Skilled movement players can reach Course Ten without it, but completion isn’t possible. Essential
Omni-Dash The dividing line between mid late game and end game. Essential
Chance For Green Clones to Become Red Single biggest priority once it appears in end game. Essential
Buying Atoms with GP No Longer Resets Anything Self-explanatory. Buy on sight. Essential
Raise Watts Generated to the Power of X Caps at 1.5x. Marks the point where progression intentionally slows. Optional
Start VMAN Speedruns with an Omnidash Mandatory gateway into late end game. Essential
Adds Xs to Each VMAN Run The two big ones grant +10 seconds per level, plus a hidden node outside the facility to the right worth +120 seconds. Essential
+1 Midair Jump Unlocks the exterior of the facility. Essential

Tree Detours, Split Paths, and the Empty Orb Silhouette

At some point you’ll spot a branch to the right that’s blocked by an empty orb silhouette. Nothing is broken — that node fills in later through normal progression. Don’t waste time hunting for a phantom prerequisite.

A note on Clone Dust: it generates in the lower facility and eventually in Course 6 and Course 9. Treat it as a GP multiplier during your early and mid late game, and stop treating it as a curiosity.

Regarding the course-boost upgrades — the “Completing a Course Boosts It” line is fine to feed spare NP into early, but the real payoff arrives alongside NP Gain is Doubled for Each Course With an Active Boost. Once that is live, redirect investment into boost-duration nodes and the NP Cap is Now a Softcap upgrade. Stacked properly this reaches roughly 1024x NP generation, and the longer you hold that ceiling, the faster every subsequent upgrade lands.

Breaking the 3 GRP Bottleneck

This is the wall that stops most players cold. VMAN awards achievements for the first five courses you complete there — and that’s the trap. The game never states that you can progress past course five, but you absolutely can. Finish the sixth VMAN course and you are officially through the bottleneck.

Editor Warning: If you’re stuck grinding GRP with no visible progress, you are almost certainly sitting at five completed VMAN courses assuming the mode is exhausted. Push into course six before you burn any more time optimizing elsewhere.

Lower Facility and VMAN Routing

The lower facility’s standout is Course 8. Its multiplier upgrade compounds at 10x per level, which can carry you through the early-to-mid late game dramatically faster if you invest early and often.

VMAN is the biggest single bottleneck most players hit. For the initial phase, run the courses in natural order: 1 > 2 > 3 > 4. Once Omnidash is unlocked inside VMAN, the fastest route I’ve found is:

1 > 2 > 5 > 3 > 4 > 6 > 7 > 8 > 9 > 10

One more thing worth flagging: progression in VMAN continues past the natural start point of the main game. To hit 3 GRP you will need to unlock and play through the Atom Collider section inside
VMAN. It’s a longer road than it looks, but it’s a road.

Omnidash Movement Tech

The following techniques aren’t flavor — they’re functional. They shave course times, unlock hidden upgrades, and in some cases are the only way to reach specific nodes. Input honestly: these take a few reps to internalize before they feel natural.

  • Super Jump — dash down into the ground, then jump at the exact moment of landing. Launches you to unusual height.
  • Super Dash — dash left or right and jump immediately afterward. Small speed gain, small height gain, but consistent.
  • Hyper Slide — jump, then aim an Omnidash diagonally down-left or down-right toward the ground, and jump again the instant you touch down. Very fast, very low arc.
  • Wall Dash — face a wall, dash into it, jump on contact. You’ll bounce off at high speed in the opposite direction.
  • Dash Climb — same idea as Wall Dash, except angle the Omnidash diagonally upward into the wall and jump the moment you connect.

Things I Got Wrong (So You Don’t)

The mistake that cost me the most time was assuming the late game ended at Course 4. There is substantially more content beyond it, and I spent an embarrassing stretch treating the end of that course as a hard stop.

Second correction: the midair jump is not required to reach Course 1, Course 2, Course 3, or Course 5. Only the Omnidash is. Ignore anyone who tells you otherwise.

Conclusion

Most of the late-game wall is information, not difficulty — a hidden sixth VMAN course, a prestige timing habit, and a handful of movement inputs nobody explains. Clear those and the curve opens back up. Good luck out there.
