Doloc Town 1.0: All Fishs Guide

Posted on August 6, 2026

Twenty-three fish species, twelve fishing spots, and a 1,500 G payday hiding in the water. Doloc Town’s fishing system looks simple on the surface, but the gap between catching your first Carp and landing a Sturgeon is a chasm of seasons, weather phases, rod tiers, and hidden location quirks. This guide compiles every documented fish in the game with its exact catch conditions, the rod you’ll need, and the spots that actually deliver — so you can stop wasting casts at trash-heavy puddles and start filling that collection book.

Seasons & Weather Terminology

Before you chase anything rare, you need to know what the game’s clock is telling you. Doloc Town runs on four sub-seasons, each split between a mild and an extreme phase. Fish spawn conditions reference these names directly, so memorize them.

Season (Chinese) English Game Name Weather Characteristics
Rainy Season (Mild) Mistshade Early rainy season, includes Salmon Event (25th–27th)
Rainy Season (Extreme) Raincrest Late rainy season, frequent heavy rain/thunderstorms
Dry Season (Mild) Blazefall Early dry season
Dry Season (Extreme) Emberreach Late dry season, features Scorching Day weather

The Salmon Event on the 25th–27th of Mistshade is the only time-limited fish event in the game. If you miss that window, you’re waiting a full cycle for Salmon.

Fishing Rods & Pull Mechanics

Five rods exist, and they are not interchangeable. The pull mechanic is simple: each fish has a hook threshold, and if your rod’s pull strength is below it, the fish escapes. No minigame skill saves you from a stat check.

Rod (Chinese) English Name Price Vendor Notes
Simple Rod Simple Rod 350 G Old Fisherman Basic rod
Old Rod Old Rod 100 G Old Fisherman Starter rod
Bamboo Rod Bamboo Rod 1,000 G Old Fisherman Meets all fish hook thresholds
Fiberglass Rod Fiberglass Rod 2,500 G Paia Higher pull strength
Carbon Rod Carbon Rod 5,000 G Paia Top-tier pull (required for Tuna)

The Old Rod is your starting gear and costs only 100 G, but it cannot catch Gold Fish — a hard requirement that pushes you toward the Bamboo Rod early. The Carbon Rod is the only rod with enough pull strength to land Tuna. If you’re fishing with anything less, don’t even bother with the Dock during Raincrest.

Tip: Buy the Bamboo Rod (1,000 G) as your first upgrade. It clears every hook threshold except Tuna, and you’ll only need the Carbon Rod once you’re ready to chase the Lv.3+ fish.

Fish Data Table

Sardine Sardine 30 G No restrictions Lv.0
Shrimp Shrimp 25 G No restrictions Lv.0
Rainbow Trout Rainbow Trout 75 G Rainy season (Mistshade / Raincrest), requires Water Core Lv.1

Kelp Kelp 20 G Rain/Thunder/Acid rain Lv.1
Koi Koi 105 G Requires Water Core Lv.2
Aquatic Chameleon Bug Aquatic Chameleon Bug 55 G No restrictions Lv.2
Cod Cod 170 G Rainy season (Mistshade / Raincrest) Lv.2
Eel Eel 155 G Dry season (Blazefall / Emberreach), requires Rock Core Sample Lv.2
Mimicry Fish Mimicry Fish 195 G Dry season, extremely rare (old version required rainy night, now all-day) Lv.2
Tuna Tuna 400 G Rainy season, requires Rock Core Sample; MUST use Carbon Rod Lv.3
Glow Eel Glow Eel 300 G Emberreach – Scorching Day only Lv.3
Sturgeon Sturgeon 1500 G January, March, requires Water Core Lv.4
Gold Fish / Shining Goldfish Gold Fish / Shining Goldfish 1000 G Minimum Old Rod required Lv.4

The Lv.4 fish are the endgame targets. Sturgeon sells for 1,500 G and only appears in January and March with the Water Core unlocked. Gold Fish is the more accessible alternative — available from Day 1 at 1,000 G a pop.

Trash Items Table

Fishing isn’t always profitable. Seven trash items pollute the water, and their drop rates vary wildly by location. Know what you’re pulling up.

Chinese Name English Name Sell Price Rarity
Trash Trash 2 G Lv.0
Plastic Bottle Plastic Bottle 10 G Lv.1
Gel Gel 10 G Lv.1
Broken Wire Broken Wire 10 G Lv.2
Can Can 40 G Lv.2
Old Tire Old Tire 40 G Lv.3
Drone Wreckage Drone Wreckage 50 G Lv.4

Trash rates range from 0% at the best pond to 100% at the Waste Plant Bottom. If you’re farming for profit, location choice is everything.

Fishing Locations & Distribution

Twelve water bodies exist in town, and their catch compositions are completely different. The trash rate alone tells you most of the story.

Pond (Chinese) English Location Trash Rate Main Catches
Deer Statue Pond Deer Statue Pond 0% Gold Fish, Carp, Koi, Wolf Fish, Rainbow Trout, Grass Carp, Shrimp, Sturgeon / Night: Catfish
Ridge Valley Ridge Valley 25% Carp, Koi, Rainbow Trout, Wolf Fish, Grass Carp, Shrimp / Night: Catfish
Mountain Pond Mountain Pond 25% Carp, Koi, Grass Carp, Wolf Fish, Shrimp / Night: Catfish
Eastern Pond Eastern Pond 25% Shrimp, Carp, Rainbow Trout, Koi, Wolf Fish, Sturgeon / Night: Catfish
Outpost Puddle Outpost (puddle next to building) 25% Shrimp, Loach, Snail, Trash, Plastic Bottle
Dock Dock 20%~25% Sardine, Bass, Cod, Tuna, Eel, Kelp, Mimicry Fish, Glow Eel (Emberreach Scorching Day)
Wetlands Hovercraft Wetlands (three hovercraft spots) 20% Bass, Shrimp, Cod, Sardine, Tuna, Eel
Wetlands Vessel Wetlands (Autonomous Vessel location) 20% Shrimp, Ricefield Eel, Aquatic Chameleon Bug, Gel
Wetlands Lichen Cave Wetlands (Lichen cave) 50% Pike, Catfish, Trash
Lotus Marsh Lotus Marsh (Wetlands) 20% Pike, Carp, Shrimp, Koi, Catfish
Rivervalley Dump Rivervalley (Puddle in the Dump) 40% Aquatic Chameleon Bug, Trash, Broken Wire, Old Tire
Waste Plant Bottom Wetlands (Waste Plant Bottom) 100% Pure trash (Trash, Wire, Bottle, Tire, Drone)

Deer Statue Pond is the only location with a 0% trash rate. Every cast there produces either a fish or a Gold Fish. The Dock is your only option for Tuna, Eel, and Glow Eel, but you’ll deal with a 20–25% trash rate while hunting them.

Warning: Waste Plant Bottom is a trap. 100% trash rate means you’ll never catch a fish there. It exists purely for trash collection.

Expert Tips & Edge Cases

Player testing has revealed several quirks that contradict common assumptions.

  1. Tuna: Extremely difficult to catch at Dock (“REALLLY looong ride”). Requires Carbon Rod — without it, fish will escape due to insufficient pull strength.
  1. Mimicry Fish: Despite old rumors requiring rainy nights, it can be caught during Blazefall/Emberreach daytime or any weather. Camp at Dock.
  1. Glow Eel: Only catchable at Dock during Emberreach’s Scorching Day weather.
  1. Aquatic Chameleon Bug: Most reliable spots are Rivervalley (Puddle in the Dump) and Wetlands (Autonomous Vessel location).

The Mimicry Fish rumor is the most persistent misinformation in the community. Old guides insist on rainy nights, but current testing shows it spawns all day during the Dry Season. Trust the current data, not the old forum posts.

Gold Fish Specialized Guide

Gold Fish (Shining Goldfish) is the most reliable money-maker in the game. Here’s everything that matters.

Base Stats:

  • Sell Price: 1000 G (second highest in game, below Sturgeon’s 1500 G)
  • Rarity: Lv.4 (highest)
  • Requirements: None (available from Day 1)
  • Environment: All year, all weather, all times (24h)
  • Rod Requirement: Old Rod or higher (Simple Rod cannot catch it)

Best Location: Deer Statue Pond — the only pond with 0% trash rate, eliminating trash competition.

Maximizing Catch Rate:

  • Avoid Salmon Event (25th–27th): Salmon (Lv.1) joins the pond, adding rarity competition.
  • Avoid Water Core unlock months: January/March adds Sturgeon (Lv.4), splitting Lv.4 weight in half.
  • Avoid Rainy Season: Rainbow Trout (Lv.1) joins the pond.

Optimal Farming Window:

  • Early game (before Water Core unlock) OR regular days in Dry Season (Blazefall/Emberreach)
  • At Deer Statue Pond, only Lv.0 (Carp, Grass Carp, Shrimp) and Lv.4 (Gold Fish) are present.
  • With Lv.0 weight 30 and Lv.4 weight 2, Gold Fish catch rate = 2/(30+2) × 100% = 6.25%

Summary: Use Old Rod or better at Deer Statue Pond during Dry Season. Roughly 1 Gold Fish per 16 casts — the most stable early/mid-game money-making spot.

Compare: Sturgeon sells for 1,500 G but requires Water Core and only spawns in January and March. Gold Fish at 1,000 G with year-round availability and no Core requirement is the better grind for most players.

Final Verdict

Start with the Old Rod, upgrade to Bamboo at 1,000 G, and set up a Gold Fish farming loop at Deer Statue Pond during the Dry Season. That single spot funds everything else in the game. Once you have the Carbon Rod and both Core unlocks, move to the Dock for Tuna and the rare seasonal catches. The collection book is completable, but it rewards patience — the Glow Eel alone requires you to be at the Dock during a specific weather event in a specific season. Plan your sessions around the calendar, and the 1,500 G Sturgeon will eventually bite.
