This is an easy work-around to the grocery stocker AI bug that causes circling or standing at shelves and racks.
Labeling Shelves/Racks
For grocery stockers to place goods where you want, you must add stock labels to shelves. A stock label is created when you place stock on a shelf or rack in the store room. Your grocery stockers can also create stock labels on store room racks if:
1. They are vacant;
2. Have no stock label; and
3. They are permitted to use un-labeled racks.
Eventually, you will have to make changes to your shelves and racks (stock labels) as the store grows. Changing the stock requires that you remove the old stock label (which you can only do when the shelf is empty) by either clicking it or adding different stock.
Work Around
DO NOT make changes to stock labels while the store is open. Close the store, “RETURN” to start new day and make your changes then. When you are finished, Save, Quit to Menu and Continue. Stocker AI failure happens when stock labels are changed while the store is opened OR when they are changed and you forget to save and reload.
If you follow these steps every time you make stock label changes, your grocery stockers will not stand and stare at shelves.
