For Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart players, this guide will show you how to fix Frequent Crashes when changing RT settings and stutters even with optimized settings
1. Turn off Nvidia reflex stuff
This settings ironically causes lag and intermittent stuttering even when you lower the fps cap regardless of gfx or resolution settings
2. Expand your page file.
The game (for me anyway) frequently crashes when changing upscaling settings or modifying the RT settings. My fix for this surprisingly was simply making my PAGE FILE double the amount of ram on my PC.
So if you have 16gb of ram then make the page file 32gb. This takes up more space but miraculously fixed it and my loading issues wholesale. This is despite having the game installed on my NVME drive and my SATA SSD install drive being the only one with the page file.As to how to expand your page file
Hold windows + Run and type “sysdm.cpl” and run it to open system properties.
Hit the advanced Tab and click settings under “performance”
Then hit the advanced tab and click “change” under virtual memory.

Click on the drive with your page file, Set custom size and set it appropriately.
For me I set it to 32768 for both columns as that is double my currently installed ram
